Spiridon Sarantopoulos appointed General Manager of the Steigenberger Frankfurter Hof

Spiridon Sarantopoulos has been appointed General Manager of the Steigenberger Group’s flagship hotel, the Steigenberger Frankfurter Hof in Frankfurt am Main, with effect from 1 September 2008. The 38-year-old is currently responsible for the fortunes of the five-star Sofitel Cologne Mondial am Dom.

Steigenberger Hotel Kaiserbad on the Baltic Island of Usedom

A new Steigenberger hotel in the far north: in 2010 the Steigenberger Hotel Kaiserbad is due to open on the Baltic island of Usedom in the coastal resort of Heringsdorf. The luxury hotel, located directly on the promenade, will have over 150 rooms and suites, 40 apartments and a wellness area covering 2,000 sqm. The investors and developers behind the project are the Meermann-Chamartin Group from Berlin and the Kassel-based company ID&C - International Development & Consulting.

Steigenberger expands Managing Board

After two years of consolidation the Frankfurt-based Steigenberger Hotels AG is expanding its managing board. Andr� Witschi (56) will become the Chairman of the Managing Board as of February 1, 2008 with responsibility for Corporate Development, Operations and Corporate Communication. Karl Anton Schattmaier will be the Deputy Chairman in the future, and alongside his tasks as Personnel Director will also be responsible for Group Marketing, Groups Sales, Human Resources and Environment. The area of Finances and Controlling continues to be headed by Matthias Heck.

Reinhard J. Heermann to be the new General Manager of the Steigenberger Frankfurter Hof

From the beginning of November 2007 the experienced� international hotelier Reinhard J. Heermann will be taking over as General Manager of the Steigenberger Frankfurter Hof in Frankfurt. Heermann’s most recent position was as General Manager of the luxury Dusit Thani hotel in Bangkok, Thailand.

Steigenberger Belv�d�re, Davos - New look for World Economic Forum Hotel

The Hotel Steigenberger Belv�d�re in Davos, which plays a key role in the prominent summit, the World Economic Forum (WEF), has been extensively renovated and altered. The investment focussed on the� rooms and bathrooms of this grand hotel, all of which have been remodelled along with the reception area. The restaurant, lounge, balcony and hotel drive will all be modernised by the middle of 2008.

Franz X. Rattenstetter to be the new Manager of the Steigenberger Grandhotel Petersberg

On November 1, 2007 Franz X. Rattenstetter will take over as Manager of the Steigenberger Grandhotel Petersberg near Bonn. Rattenstetter currently manages the Crowne Plaza in Bucharest, Romania.

Steigenberger Airport Hotel - Extensive renovation work will soon be finished

The five-star Steigenberger Airport Hotel in Frankfurt will be able to offer guests an even wider range of top quality conference facilities following the completion of its comprehensive remodelling at the end of August 2007. Germany’s first “Certified Conference Hotel” will then have 2,000 m� of conference space at its disposal. Furthermore, as part of the renovation work the 104 rooms of the Executive Tower have been modernised and an exclusive lounge area added.
